8. The Brewers move George Kottaras to 1st base to platoon with someone. That makes Travis Ishikawa expendable and gets Kottaras out from behind the plate, where he is sub-par. It also gets his bat in the lineup and gives Martin Maldonado a chance to get some big league time. Maldonado doesn’t have a strong bat, but he has a cannon and is considered an above-average defensive catcher. Not a bad option at all.

I saw a tweet yesterday by beat writer, Tom Haudricourt. He had asked Randy Wolf about the crazy work he and George Kottaras did yesterday against the Cubs. He coined it:
“Wolfattaras.”
The Wolfattaras rampaged Arizona yesterday. I hope to see more Wolfattaras sightings in April.
