It is my birthday today, Tumblr.

I have to work 9-4, unfortunately.

Then, Tom and I are going to my hometown so that I can leave for Texas tomorrow at 5am with my mom and younger siblings.

Most uneventful birthday ever! But what can you expect from 22? We’re going to have dinner and drinks tonight, though, so it’s not a total wash.

Oh, and Tom gave me my present at midnight. He got me a watch! He got me my first watch ever for Christmas and I absolutely love it but I wanted one that was a little simpler to wear to work. Here:

^Me on my 21st to get your attention!

I am turning 22 this year. Last year I went all out for my 21st. Cocktail lounges, swanky hotel bars, gross bro bars, tiki bars, and (my favorite) old guy bars… and lots of friends all spanned out over three days.

This year, I want to do something that is the opposite of that… so like more laid back? Something I can wear jeans to? I’m thinking of going rollerskating.. you know, at like skateland. Haha. So my question is, if you knew someone who was having their birthday party at Skateland (and then obvs move over to a bar after a few hours or something), would you go? Or would you think it was kind of kitschy?

I NEED THIS WATCH.

Tom just got me a watch for Christmas though, so I don’t know if I want to ask for another one for my birthday… but it’s so pretty! :/ Hmmm…
